Effect of Organic Nutrients on Growth and Flowering Attributes of African Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) under Terai Region of West Bengal

A field experiment was conductedat Instructional farm, Department of Floriculture, Medicinal and Aromatic plants, Faculty Horticulture, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya during 2019-2020 to study the “Effect organic nutrients on growth flowering attributes African Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) under Terai region West Bengal” with objectives different inputs for production quantitative qualitative flowers Marigold. Now a day’s cultivation practices have immense potentiality due huge demand as because it resulted low health hazards well gave pollution free environment improved soil fertility. The laid out by following Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design, consists two factors in which first factor varieties (Pusa Bahar-V1 Pusa Narangi Gainda- V2)and second ten treatments combination. Different Organic like Farm Yard Manure (FYM), Vermicompost, Poultry Manure, Sea Weed extract, Vermi wash Mustard oil cake extract used experiments basal application foliar spray according treatments. vegetative floral were recorded at peak stage data statisticallyanalysed. significantly differed among varieties, treatment combinations varieties. Between var.Pusa Gainda (V2) showed early compared var. Bahar (V1) but longer duration (49.41 days) observed (V1). Among treatments,the T10 (Poultry @ 2.5t/ha + Vermiwash 3%) best against important parameters total number per plant (55.73) weight fresh (103.08 g). when treated 3% (T10)showed better performance respect several morphological quality It may be recommended that Manure@ combination @3% spraying attwice (30 45 days after transplanting) producesof terai Bengal.
